Dear Reader:
Hello. I have some exciting updates to share with you all. Last weekend, we embarked on a wonderful journey to San Marcos to collect a medal. Then, we continued our adventure to San Antonio, where we visited our old house and the historic Alamo. We also took a delightful ride down the picturesque River Walk, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
A medal. My daughter participated in a state-wide vocabulary competition and earned a medal. It was quite epic, and we are super proud of her. We got to visit Texas State University and hang out on campus. While there, we noticed graduating students doing photo shoots with family and friends. Graduating season is on.
We then drove down to San Antonio to visit our old house. We were glad to see our next-door neighbours, they were home and we were all happy to see each other and for the kids to meet each other so many years later. Oh, how fast time goes by; the kids’ height perfectly represents the passing of time. After chatting for a while, we headed to The Alamo. We took pictures and marvelled at how much some things have changed and how others have remained the same.
We took a delightful ride down the picturesque river. It was super fun; I had not done that in many years. We captured numerous pictures while listening attentively to the guide’s brief yet fascinating history of San Antonio and the exciting upcoming Fiesta festival.
It is a beautiful day today because it is May 4th. So, May the 4th be with you.

Hola. Tengo algunas cositas que contarles. El pasado fin de semana fuimos a San Marcos a recoger una medalla. Posteriormente continuamos con nuestra aventura en San Antonio donde visitamos nuestra antigüa casa y el histórico Alamo. También nos subimos al barquito que te lleva por el río, así disfrutamos del paisaje.
La medalla. Mi hija participó en un concurso a nivel estatal en vocabulario y se ganó una medalla. Fue super emocionante y estamos muy orgullosos de ella. Visitamos la Universidad Estatal de Texas en San Marcos y paseamos por el campus. Mientras estábamos ahí, vimos a muchos estudiantes con su atuendo de graduación sacándose fotos con familiares y amigos. La época de graduaciones ha comenzado.
Después manejamos a San Antonio para visitar nuestra antigüa casa donde vivieron los chicos cuando eran pequeños. Nuestros vecinos siguen viviendo ahí, nos dió mucho gusto verlos. Los hijos de ellos y los nuestros se conocieron de nuevo diez años después. La altura de los chicos es el perfecto representante de lo rápido que pasa el tiempo. De ahí nos fuimos directo a El Alamo. Nos tomamos fotos y nos maravillamos de lo mucho que ha cambiando y a de lo mucho que sigue igual.
Nos subimos al barquito que pasea por el río. Fue muy divertido, tenía años que no lo hacía. Sacamos muchas fotos y escuchamos con atencion al guía quien nos dió un breve resumen de la historia de San Antonio y del festival Fiesta que estaba por pasar.
Hoy en un día hermoso y ya es mayo 4. En Estados Unidos es el Día de Las Guerras de la Galaxia. Feliz Día.
